Flowers have been a love of mine for most of my life. When I first left school I worked for a florist in my hometown. I made the decision to leave and train as a nurse, but the flowers still called to me. My house was always filled with fresh blooms, and foraging for berries and wildflowers to adorn my windowsills was a therapeutic respite from my corporate job at a huge healthcare company. After 20 years in nursing, I decided to be brave and follow my passion and my floral business was born in 2016.
I love how expressive flowers can be, and never tire of putting together new combinations. My house looks out over the gorgeous Hertfordshire countryside and you’re often likely to see me heading out across the fields in my wellies on the hunt for inspiration.
When I’m not in flower mode, I love trawling junk shops and antique stores to find the perfect pieces for my house or my quirky little studio in the old village blacksmith’s forge. I spend as much time as possible with my family – my husband and three grown up children, Sophie, Josh and Alice, and I’m kept on my toes by my cheeky house rabbit Emily, who is usually intent on eating everything in sight.!
Hearing about each and every one of my couples’ wedding plans is guaranteed to get me fizzing with ideas, so why not get in touch to organise a consultation?

I love nothing more than the feeling of bringing the outside indoors – of creating the atmosphere of a secret garden or hidden forest glade in beautiful venues across the UK. I’ve had the pleasure of working in a wide variety of locations, from stunning woodland spaces, to rustic barns and urban warehouse venues – bringing quirky, bohemian floral design to each.
There’s no formula for my wedding flowers. Each wedding I work on is completely bespoke, and I design bouquets, buttonholes, flower crowns, table centres and other installations that are totally unique to you. I take on a limited number of weddings a year, ensuring I can devote time to creating and developing a completely individual suite of florals for each one.

You won’t find structured, uniform bouquets tied with satin ribbon here. Starting with a relaxed consultation at my studio, we’ll have a chat about the plans for your big day. We’ll look at colours, textures and adornments together to build up a moodboard of seasonal flowers that sum up your style. It’s important for me to get to know your venue, to look at the spaces available and visualize how each area can be transformed with flowers and foliage. We’ll arrange a venue visit together, and bounce lots of ideas around.

Now comes the (even more) fun bit. A moodboard of colours and styles is all well and good, but flowers are such tactile, sensory things that I like my couples to come with me to New Covent Garden Flower Market to really get a sense of how our ideas will come to life. This is one of my favourite places in the world – a riot of colour, perfume and petals. I challenge anyone to leave there not feeling inspired!

When your wedding day arrives I’ll be there at the venue, setting up the flowers and delivering your bouquets. It’s a privilege to be involved in the happiest day of your life and once every last tendril and blossom is arranged perfectly, I always make myself available to help out however I can. I’ll make the tea, tie the bow ties, calm any nerves and generally be on hand to help your day go smoothly.

Would you like to speak further about your special day? Then I’d love to hear from you. Please just get in touch.
